Pacific Palisades Is Coming Back — And I Am So Happy to Share Every Bit of It

I have to be honest with you: I've been sitting on some of this news for weeks, just waiting for the right moment to share it all at once, because I wanted you to feel the same rush of excitement I felt when I heard it. Piece by piece, storefront by storefront, the Palisades I love is coming back. Not as a memory. As a place you can walk into again.
Palisades Village: August 15 Is the Big One
Let's start with the headline everyone's been waiting for. Caruso has confirmed the grand reopening of Palisades Village for Saturday, August 15, 2026, after more than $100 million in renovations. The center is 99 percent leased, and elysewalker is returning to a beautiful new 5,000-square-foot flagship right at the entrance on Sunset and Swarthmore. Erewhon, Zimmermann, Brunello Cucinelli, Angelini Ristorante, Alfred Coffee, and so many more familiar names are coming home too, alongside newcomers like Nancy Silverton's Spacca Tutto and LESET's first West Coast store. I'll be there on the 15th, and I would love to see you there too.
But honestly? The Village reopening is only half the story right now. What's happening on the streets around it is just as exciting to me, maybe more, because it's coming from our own neighbors.
Flour Pizzeria Is Coming Home — And This One Made Me Genuinely Emotional
If you know me, you know how much this one means. Robert Flutie, a 25-year Palisades resident who started Flour Pizzeria on Via de la Paz back in 2023, just signed a lease to bring Flour back to the Palisades, at 15270 Antioch Street, the former Noah's Bagels space. This news broke today, and I have not stopped smiling since I read it.
Rob lost his home and his business in the fire. His daughter told him it was "shocking that not one thing that we were connected to continues to exist," because Flour was where she used to meet her friends after school. That's what this neighborhood is built on, these small, ordinary, precious rituals. Rob pivoted hard after the fire and opened a Flour location in Brentwood in early 2025, and now he's bringing the original spirit of Flour home to the street he always dreamed of being on.
He's working with fellow Palisadian and architect Michael Kovac on a 2,000-square-foot space designed to reflect our community's journey. There's no permit timeline yet, so he's targeting a grand opening around July 4, 2027, but the lease is signed, and that alone feels like something worth celebrating today. I plan to be first in line for a slice.
Jaimie Geller Jewelry: My Personal Favorite, and a Dear Friend's Store
I don't usually get this personal in a blog post, but I can't write about the Palisades coming back without mentioning Jaimie Geller Jewelry. Michael and Jaimie Geller opened their beautiful boutique on Antioch Street back in 2007, and it has been my go-to for gifts, for treating myself, and honestly, for just popping in to say hello, for years. Jaimie isn't just a favorite shop of mine, she's a genuine friend, and watching her navigate rebuilding after the fire has been one of the more personal parts of this whole recovery for me to witness.

Pali Trading Post opened July 1 at 15248 W. Sunset Boulevard, a gift shop built by a fellow fire survivor specifically to celebrate our neighborhood's history and identity. It's a small space with a big heart.
Loomey's Toys is targeting a fall opening at Palisades Village, which means the kids in our neighborhood get their toy store back too, just in time for the holidays.
Marc Michel Eyewear, a beloved Palisades name, has found a temporary home on Montana Avenue in Santa Monica while its Palisades future takes shape, proof that even displaced businesses are keeping their roots close.
Why I Wanted You to Have All of This in One Place
I could give you the market analysis version of this post, the one about leasing percentages and what retail recovery signals for property values. And that's all true and worth knowing.
